Real Time Location Tracking

Find Every Asset on a Live Facility Map

Real-time location tracking that puts every mobile asset on a live map, so staff can walk straight to it.

Core Products

Stop Searching. Start Locating.

RTLS shows where an asset is right now, on a live map. AssetCues ties that position to the asset record, so every location carries its owner, custodian and history.

Workflow

How Real-Time Location Tracking Works in AssetCues

Connect active asset tags to live facility maps, automate location alerts, and maintain a complete movement history in one unified register.
Design-1

Stage 1:

Tag

Mobile assets carry an active BLE, UWB, or Wi-Fi tag linked to their register record and ERP asset number.

Stage 2:

Position

Fixed anchors and gateways receive tag signals, allowing the platform to resolve each asset’s position to zone or point level.

Stage 3:

Map

Asset positions appear on a live site map, filterable by asset type, department, or custodian, with search by asset ID.

Stage 4:

Watch

Geofences and idle rules run continuously. A boundary breach or overlong idle period triggers an automated alert.

Stage 5:

Log

Every position change is recorded in the asset’s movement history alongside custody, verification, and maintenance records.

Best Fit

Where Real-Time Location Tracking Fits Best

Real-time asset location visibility across facilities, shared equipment fleets, and controlled operational zones.
01

Multi-Site Operations

Multi-Site Visibility

Multi-building campuses and multi-site operations where assets move between locations.
02
Remote & Unmanned Sites

Automatic Reporting

Yards, depots, and remote or unmanned sites where nobody is available to scan assets.
03
High-Value Mobile Equipment

Between Audits

High-value mobile equipment, tools, and plant that need visibility between audits.
04
Mixed-Technology Sites

Location Record

Sites where assets carry different tag types but still need one consolidated location record.
05
Selective Asset Deployment

Cost-Justified Coverage

Selected assets where automatic reporting justifies tag and gateway costs, rather than covering the entire register.

Walk Straight to the Right Asset

Find shared equipment faster with live facility maps, automated idle alerts, and geofence-based movement tracking—all connected to your AssetCues register.

FAQs

How accurate is real time location tracking in AssetCues?
It depends on the positioning technology chosen per area. BLE and Wi-Fi resolve to zone or room level, which is enough for finding equipment and enforcing zone rules; UWB gives high-precision point location for floors where exact position matters. Accuracy figures are confirmed for your site during deployment scoping.
BLE, UWB and Wi-Fi, selected per area by the precision needed, the environment and the infrastructure already in place. Wi-Fi can reuse an existing network where suitable; BLE and UWB add anchors or gateways. All three write positions to the same asset record, so mixed deployments are normal.
Yes. The wireless infrastructure scales from a single warehouse or ward to multi-site operations, and each area is added as a set of zones on the site map. Assets keep their register identity throughout, so expanding coverage does not mean re-tagging or migrating data.
Yes. RTLS data sits on the asset record that AssetCues already syncs with ERP, CMMS and ITAM systems, so location, movement history and geofence events are available to those workflows through the platform’s existing integrations rather than through a separate feed to maintain.
Yes, for yards and covered areas adjacent to the facility where anchors or gateways can be installed; the map extends to those zones. For assets that travel between sites or across regions, GPS is the right layer, and it reports into the same asset record.
No. RTLS tags belong on the mobile, shared and high-value equipment where search time, utilisation and zone control matter. The rest of the register stays on barcode or RFID identity, and all of it lives in one platform, so tag spend follows the value of live position, not the asset count.
